Humpback Whale

What amazes me the most about whales is that something so huge can be so graceful when swimming underwater. They're beautiful creatures, so when I was thinking about what sort of sea life to draw, whales came immediately to mind.

This was somewhat inspired by a friend determined to get the perfect greenish look for an ocean she was drawing. I wanted to paint an ocean with the pure blue hues that can be seen while underwater.

Done in Photoshop CS2 using a few pictures for reference, approximately 6 hours
