Something has to get all those parts to the brain so it can build more robots, and this guy's one of them. The Guzzler's job is to search out all those broken down cars lying around and drain them dry of all their useful liquids, from gasoline to motor oil. If he happens to run into some strange little living doll along the way, well it's a bit more interesting of a prize than the contents of a gas tank.

This was a ton of fun to work on. I rarely draw machines so it was definitely a bit of a challenge to work out a design. In the end, this guy's what I came up with for my entry to the Beasts of 9 contest.

Good concept of a freakishly awesome "parts-harvester"!

OOOoooOOOooohhh...Cool. It reminds me a lot of a warthog, but at the same time, it kinda doesn't. All of the canisters on the back and head and elsewhere, some of 'em broken, and the tubes hanging from the chest are real cool, and although it doesn't have quite the scrappy-crappy look to it as the Cat Beast or the Winged Beast, it definitely looks like it would fit in well in the movie.

So...How does it drain the car fluids? Does it tear open the engine and and drain them out in a manner similar to a vampire bat? (VAMPIRES DON'T SUCK. SCRAPE and LICK. :9) OR, does it have like a big cyringe in its mouth that it uses to pierce the engine, and then SSSRRRRRP?

Remember how we were talking about balancing not defined with defined when painting? I think you're definitely getting closer and closer into striking the perfect balance. I love it. The background really helps accentuate it, I guess, but it would have been nice with silhouettes of broken down cars and crumbling buildings.

Also, I think the design would be great if it showed more obviously that your "Guzzler" was made by more local parts. It looks like it was created by some scientist with a lot of resources at hand, rather than an eyeball with a super-mind that's using supplies from a post-apocalyptic world. But, that's just my opinion. And a few more bottles wouldn't hurt. Maybe one of those one-gallon things?

All in all, I love you, I love your work, and with a year (maybe less?) of steady improvement, you can definitely get into that prestigious art school. I don't doubt your ability to succeed in the slightest.
